One of the joys of Taizé is its international appeal—and connection to multiple languages. Not only are several of the songs translated into multiple languages, but many are written in languages other than French or English. This particular one, God is Forgiveness, was originally written in Czech and has become a hallmark of the contemplative style of Taizé worship loved the world-over. As part of the new beginnings following Easter and the resurrection, it is a fitting entry into Ordinary Time in the church year and a favorite of
the Saint Paul Taizé community.
