An Introduction to Saint Paul Taizé –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
Saint Paul Lutheran Church in downtown Denver has long been an advocate for inclusion. One part of the work this community does involves reaching out to other faith communities in Colorado. In the spirit of ecumenism, we have been offering the greater Denver area a new form of worship—different than the liturgies that mark traditional Christianity.
The Spirit of Taizé is, above all else, an opportunity for any and all to come and worship in peace. This is a space dedicated to reflection, quiet prayer, and simple song. There is no pressure to join in singing or prayer. It is a place and a time when you are simply allowed to be.
With life ever turbulent, busy, and sometimes chaotic, it is important to find time to think quietly and reflect on where life is taking us. This is that opportunity—whatever faith or spirituality you embrace.
Taizé is a worship tradition grounded in Christian beliefs, but at its core is a message of inclusion. We invite you to share in that message and join us to worship with music, pray with song, and share in our greater community... in the Spirit of Taizé.
